One of services offered by Southeastern is the support of Koha catalogs for special libraries. Koha is a well-established, open-source catalog that provides a robust and low-cost alternative to traditional Integrated Library Systems. Koha can accommodate both basic and advanced library functions. It includes modules for acquisitions, circulation, cataloging, serials management, authorities, reporting, and more.
Southeastern staff provide a variety of services to support members with Koha catalogs. This includes initial set-up and customization of your catalog and the importing of MARC records from previous systems. Southeastern staff also: host catalogs on our servers, update Koha regularly as new software versions become available, provide technical support, and provide training on all modules as needed. Contact kelsey@senylrc.org for more information on this service.
Southeastern supports Special Library Catalogs for the following libraries:
- Cary Institute
- Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
- Nathan Kline Institute
- Palisades Interstate Park Commission
You can download a copy of the Southeastern Special Library Catalogs Manual. We also have a libguide with helpful resources for using Koha.
