Middletown Thrall Library

Middletown Thrall Library is seeking candidates for part time librarian I substitute and fill-in positions available immediately in our youth services and adult services departments. We are seeking individuals with the ability to work evening, (until 8:00pm, M-TH) and weekend, (10:00am – 5:00pm Saturdays, 12:00pm – 4:00pm Sundays) providing point of use reference services at our computer workstations and via telephone at our Youth Services and Adult Reference desks.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be in possession of a Master’s degree from an American Library Association accredited M.L.S. or M.S.I. S. program and a NYS Professional Librarian’s Certificate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess strong customer service and technology skills.  Knowledge of Sirsi-Dynix Symphony and Spanish language fluency a plus.

COVID 19: Applicants must be willing to follow all of the Library’s COVID 19 health protocols.

COMPENSATION:  $28.00 per hour.  $7.00 per hour shift differential offered for Sunday shifts.
