Middletown Thrall Library

Middletown Thrall Library is seeking a part –time Librarian I to work in our Youth Services Department for up to 20 hours per week providing point of use reference services at our computer workstations and via telephone at our Youth Services reference desk.

We are currently seeking individuals who have the ability to work evening and weekend shifts.  Participation in a weekend rotation of Saturday, 9:30 – 5:00 and Sunday 12:00 -4:00 is required. A stipend is offered in addition to the hourly rate for Sunday hours. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be in possession of a master’s degree from an American Library Association accredited M.L.S. or M.S.I.S. program and a NYS Professional Librarian’s Certificate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess strong customer service and technology skills.  Knowledge of Sirsi-Dynix ILS and Spanish language fluency a plus.

COMPENSATION:  $28.00 per hour
