The meeting is open to you to share ideas, network, and re-connect. This month, we will discuss Backward Design and the ‘Big Ideas’ of Library Instruction
Mills, Wiley and Willaims (2019) describe backward design as instruction centered on “the big ideas or enduring understandings that students should remember long after instruction concludes.”
• What are our own “Big Ideas” that we are teaching to?
• How have they changed over the last few years?
• How are the “big ideas” similar and different between Middle/High School and
College library instruction.
• How do we connect these “Big Ideas” across the student experience at all ages?
This event is free for all Southeastern members and affiliate members. (Members of members.)
