Location: Southeastern NY Library Resources Council
Convener: Margaret Stanne, Haviland-Heidgerd Historical Collection
Ask an Archivist! In this meeting, we're inviting archivists to bring your most challenging, thorny, and persistent questions you get about your archives. Who better to answer the questions about archives and procedures than a group full of archivists and librarians? As a group, we'll put our heads together since so many of us run into the same problems over time.
From full-time job archivists to those who need to occasionally preserve and organize special collections, the archives SIG is a meeting to talk about the art and craft of working with archival materials. Individuals from libraries, archives, cultural heritage institutions, and other places with historic documents are welcome to join the conversation.
The convener will guide the discussion, and the exact agenda will be set by attendees. We welcome your questions, comments, stories, and experiences.
There is no cost to join the meeting, and we ask that you please register in advance. Registration is open to both Southeastern members and non-members.
