Southeastern offers inter-library loan referral services to members. These services fall under two categories: Medical Information Services Program (MISP) requests and OCLC ILL Referrals.
MISP ILL Requests: MISP is a program provided by New York State that seeks to provide New Yorkers with access to health information. This program subsidizes the cost of inter-library loans for resources related to medical and consumer health. Southeastern will place ILL requests for needed materials on your behalf through DOCLINE and OCLC Worldshare. The cost of any lending fees will be covered by the program.
OCLC ILL Referrals: Governing members of Southeastern receive 25 OCLC referrals per year. These requests can be for materials of all types and subjects (medical requests will not count towards the overall request amount.) Southeastern will place the request on behalf of your library at no charge through OCLC Worldshare. However, if there is a lending fee for the item, your library will be required to pay for it. Once you have reached the 25 ILL request threshold, additional requests can be placed for $10 each.
