Job Opening: Youth Programming Specialist

The Tivoli Free Library is seeking a community-oriented, imaginative, hands-on individual for the part-time position of Youth Programming Specialist.

The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, organized and able to efficiently plan, promote, market and supervise programs for children aged birth to 19 years old, including the Summer Reading program, Homeschool program and other established programs. Must have the ability to coordinate volunteers and program facilitators, as well as to track program attendance and prepare statistical reports. Will maintain calendars (physical and online) and content for social media platforms and library website. This position will require some evenings and Saturdays.

Qualified applicants should be tech savvy, have good interpersonal skills, and be comfortable with a range of computer software and social media. Knowledge of WordPress, Canva, Library Aware and Sierra ILS software a plus. Hired candidate will be joining a team of creative and dedicated professionals in a thriving, award-winning small library.

Compensation: Salary is $21/hour for 20 hrs/week.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update program calendar
Provide programs for youth patrons, from newborns to teens, and their families
Create, plan, schedule and deliver youth programs
Manage program related budget
Manage program related booking, scheduling, registration, outreach, and marketing
Report to program statistics and key learnings to Director
Manage setup before programs and clean-up after programs
Inventory, organize, and maintain related program materials
Maintain and support existing programs, including:

*Storytime
*Library Schoolhouse
*Summer Reading
*Other
