During this time of social distancing, we are reformatting our Special Interest Group meetings to be open Zoom conference calls. The purpose of these meetings is to check in with each other, keep up our networks, and share ideas about how to work through this "new normal." Instead of having a formal agenda, they will be places for us to keep in touch with each other, in the spirit of camaraderie that has arisen from our regular in-person meetings. We hope you find them supportive.
The Library Support Staff SIG meets to discuss issues of day-to-day library operation from the perspective of the staff members. The members of the group are clerks, paraprofessionals, students, volunteers, supervisors, and other non-degreed individuals. Participants come from all library types. If you haven't made it to one of our meetings in the past, and want to catch up before joining the virtual meeting, you can see the notes from previous meetings here: https://libguides.senylrc.org/SIGs/SupportStaff
Join our listserv! After our May meeting, we created an email group so that we can keep up with each other and share ideas between meetings. You can sign up for that group here: https://groups.google.com/a/senylrc.org/forum/#!forum/lss
This event is free for all Southeastern members and affiliate members. (Members of members.)
