Electronic Resources for Special Libraries

 

SENYLRC The Southeastern New York Library Resources Council subsidizes several databases for different types of libraries in the region. Southeastern also registers libraries for several databases that are under state contract.

WALDO Southeastern members have access to a multitude of electronic resources available from WALDO. Through the "limited membership" agreement Southeastern has with WALDO, the Westchester Academic Library Director's Organization, special libraries in the region are able to subscribe to some of these resources. Provided by the New York State Library, NOVELNY is an online virtual library connecting New Yorkers to 21st century information via local libraries statewide. NOVELNY is currently supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds. New Century Libraries is an important statewide funding initiative currently before the Legislature that proposes permanent state funding for NOVELNY.
 

NOVELNY databases are available to not-for-profit special libraries only.
