 There are licenses for Lynda.com which are still available to SENYLRC members! If you are interested in tutorials on design, video, web, they have a self-guided video made just for what you need. If you haven’t been over there recently, take a look, because they just added videos about Outlook, PowerPoint, InDesign, and Video Blogs in WordPress among many others! You can check here for the full list of updated videos. If you don’t have the time now, that is not a problem, this program goes through the 2013 calendar year. Have you been participating in SENYLRC’s Technology and Trends webinar series? We’ve already had five informative presentations, and there are six to go! Next up is a presentation about the HathiTrust. If you are interested in learning more about preserving and providing access to your digitized materials or would you like to know more about a reference which allows you to search the FULL TEXT of MILLIONS of books, this webinar is for you! It will be presented by Jeremy York of HathiTrust Digital Library, one of the leaders in digital library content with over 10 million volumes in their digital collections.

To access these great videos for your library, we are currently offering activation periods of one month. During that time frame, users may view as many training videos as they wish on as many topics as desired. Did we mention that this is all free for you?
SENYLRC, working with NY3Rs, has purchased a limited number of activation codes to lend. These will be available ONLY to SENYLRC members, and organizations will be allotted two licenses at a time. If all licenses are checked out, we will create a wait-list, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as they become available. This program begins on February 1st and runs through the 2013 calendar year.

Cost: Programs are FREE to library staff within the SENYLRC region. There is a $10 charge for library staff from other regions of New York State.
Dates: January through March 2013
Time: All programs are 10 am to 12 pm EST. The programs are live and interactive.
Location: The webinars will be live via the internet using AdobeConnect with URLs that will provided prior to the program. If you would like to participate in the program and network with colleagues, SENYLRC will provide group viewing in the large conference room.

SENYLRC program on E-Books – Opportunities for Academic Libraries
