The SENYLRC Board of Trustees invites staff from Governing and HRVH member organizations to take a few minutes to share your thoughts in this online survey about the recently-adopted Strategic Plan 2012-2015 – in particular potential impacts on your library or cultural heritage organization.
In the 1st quarter of 2012, under the consulting guidance of Jon Allen, Performance Matters, Inc., and with support from the Dyson Foundation, the SENYLRC Board of Trustees embarked on a planning initiative that would result in a mufti-year strategic plan.
Input from staff and member organizations was solicited through a series of focus groups and an online survey in January 2012. The Planning Committee of the Board worked with Mr. Allen over a six-week period to draft the strategic initiatives. In late February, the Board of Trustees participated in an all-day retreat facilitated by Mr. Allen. On March 15, 2012, the Board of Trustees approved a series of four strategic initiatives with associated action steps, responsibilities and target dates.
At the upcoming SENYLRC annual meeting on June 1, 2012, a panel of select members of the Board, consultant Jon Allen, and member library directors will discuss the strategic plan, its challenges as well as opportunities. Discussion from the audience will be encouraged.
Through this survey, we invite additional feedback on the strategic initiatives. Please complete the survey by Tuesday May 29, 2012. Here is the link to the Plan:
