Free online ILLiad training is available for staff from libraries in the region using ILLiad for resource sharing.  SENYLRC and the other 3R Councils in the state and SUNY have together purchased a subscription to Atlas Systems’ online ILLiad training.  Through this subscription, SENYLRC libraries using ILLiad have access to “live” online classes and all previously recorded classes for the next 11 months (June 1, 2010).

According to the terms of our subscription, both the “live” online classes and the pre-recorded classes must be viewed here at Southeastern’s conference rooms in Highland. The live classes are set to a schedule stipulated by Atlas. The pre-recorded classes may be viewed at any time convenient to you and SENYLRC. However, we will need a minimum of two days notice to schedule.

For the current schedule of upcoming classes, please visit the Atlas website training page.  Although you will see a fee listed for several of the classes, SENYLRC’s subscription enables members to participate in the classes at no charge.

All “live” classes are recorded and made available for viewing at any time. If you attend one of the “live” web sessions, the Atlas trainers are available to answer questions in real time.  If you cannot attend a scheduled broadcast and want to view the recorded class, we can still ask questions and they will be answered vial email.

Attached is a registration form of current “live” online classes that may apply to your library. Also attached is a list of previously recorded classes.

Please contact Judy Fischetti <judyf@senylrc.org> or call her at (845) 883-9065 to schedule attending a class or if you have questions. Please provide the following information to attend a class: library name, ILLiad class title(s), date of class(s), how many staff members will attend, contact person and their email address.
