SEARCHING AND REQUESTING FROM THE ADELPHI UNIVERSITY CATALOG IN SEAL

I have received several phone calls from SEAL users asking what items can be borrowed from Adelphi.  The Adelphi University catalog was added to SEAL in July 2008.  The Adelphi University Main Campus is located in Garden City on Long Island and they have three additional locations.  One of them, the Hudson Valley Center is in Poughkeepsie and is participating in the SEAL ILL System.
This library supports the center’s Master of Social Work (M. S. W.) Program. This location is the only one participating in SEAL.  Their catalog is set up so that only the Hudson Valley Center is identified in SEAL in the location column of the details screen. The background processor will only add the Hudson Valley Center to a rota and not the locations out of our area.

This screen shot shows a combination of Adelphi locations.  Because the Hudson Valley Center is included, you can place an ILL request for such an item in SEAL.  The background processor will only add the Adelphi University Hudson Valley Center to the rota.

Please notice that ADELPHI UNIVERSITYHUDSON VALLEY CENTER is listed in UPPER CASE.  That is how participating libraries in the SEAL ILL System are displayed on the details screen.
