The 45th Annual Meeting of the Southeastern NY Library Resources Council is on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa, Milton NY. The meeting will take place at the onsite restaurant, Henry’s Farm to Table. The meeting agenda includes a panel discussion of the newly approved SENYLRC Strategic Plan 2012-2015. The NY 3Rs Association, Inc. negotiated a deal with Boopsie for Libraries to offer a discount for academic and public libraries (MHLS libraries only) . Boopsie for Libraries has created a smart phone application that they will create, customize, and brand for the library to include a variety of features, allowing libraries to go mobile in an easy and affordable way, even if they lack the technical expertise in-house. We have scheduled an HRVH Users Group meeting to discuss marketing and promotion. This meeting will provide an opportunity to learn what others in our community are doing to promote their digital collections.
The meeting will be Thursday, May 3, 2012 at SENYLRC.
Registration begins at 9:00 AM. The meeting will start at 9:30 and end at 12:00 noon.

Empire Library Delivery Procurement Announcement
The New York 3Rs Association, Inc. (NY3Rs) announces plans for a procurement of library delivery services for libraries throughout the State of New York.This procurement has the potential to include up to five stops per week at more than 400 libraries located in all New York counties as well as a connecting route to facilitate daily cargo transfers between eight or nine transportation hubs.Proposals covering the entire state as well as for smaller service areas will be accepted.The individual parts are likely to correspond with the territories of one or more of the NY 3Rs organizations, which are described here.
