Sue Ben-Dor, Library Director at Orange Regional Medical Center comprising both Horton Medical Center and Arden Hill Hospital will be honored this May 25th by the Advanced Science Research Class at the Valley Central High School for her contributions to the program. The 2004 Symposium will be dedicated to Ms. Ben-Dor Sue is also the current chair of UNYOC, the Upstate New York and Ontario chapter of the Medical Library Association. Look for her piece in the May issue of MLA News updating a short article she wrote while HLSP manager at SENYLRC.
Jesse Caudill, Director of Library and CME Services at Nyack Hospital, who is also an Innterfaith Minister and Hospice spiritual care volunteer, will be ordained as a Buddhist Monk in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hahn on May 22.
Rebecca Gerald is the new Coordinator of the Dutchess BOCES School Library System. Previously, Rebecca was the director of the Ulster BOCES School Library System.
Dona McLaughlin, Director of the Starr Library, Rhinebeck is retiring on June 30 after 15 years at the library.
Linda Poston was recently appointed Associate Dean and Director of Library Services for the three Nyack College libraries under the umbrella of Nyack Christian Higher Education. – Nyack College, Alliance Theological Seminary and Nyack New York City.
